Company founder and president Donald Powell, a 1973 graduate of Rutgers University, has been involved in the construction industry since 1973, working with such companies as Shelter Systems, US Homes, Component Technologies, and Ackerman and Pratt before founding Powell Building Corporation in 1986. Mr. Powell is a registered and certified contractor and homebuilder in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Florida. In 2008, due to his interest in environmentally friendly construction, Mr. Powell became a US Green Building Commission LEED Accredited Professional. In 2009, he became BPI Certified Building Analyst and Shell/Envelope Specialist. Mr. Powell is a lifelong resident of the Delaware Valley and his three children are graduates of Moorestown High School.
